How fast must you throw a 1 kg snowball (m/s) at -20 degrees Celsius at a wall for it to completely vaporize?

specific heat of water: 4.184
ice: 2.03
water vapor: 2:01

delta H vaporization of water: 40.7
delta H fusion of water: 6.01

There's one more equation needed: Mass * Specific heat * CHANGE in temp = Energy needed

Energy for -20 degree snowball (which is same as ice) to get to 0 degrees:
(0- -20) celcius * 1 kg * 2.03 Joules/celcius/kg = 20 * 1 * 2.03 = 40.6 J

Energy for 0 degrees ice to get to 0 degrees water:
1 kg * 6.01 J/kg = 6.01 J

Do the same for Energy (0 degree water to 100 degree water) and Energy (100 degree water to 100 degree water vapour).

Add the Energy from all four calculations (2 i have done for u) to get the total energy needed.

Use 0.5mv^2 to find v.
