What does "layered die-cut" mean in scrap-booking supplies?
I am trying to find some supplies to make a nice scrap book of my trip to Ireland. I found this map http://travelscrappin.com/ireland-map.html
but I don't know what it means when it says "layered die-cut map"... what is it like a sticker kind of? can I apply it to a scrapbook or to paper or what?
any websites with stickers or special paper that you could suggest would be great too 
It's hard to tell from that picture but I'm pretty certain it means it was created using layers of cardstock. For that map, the green would have been cut out first and then the white is put over that, then the black and then beige map. The title "Ireland" is then placed on top so that it is created in layers. Does this make sense?
And yes, you can put it on your scrapbook page. It looks like that particular one isn't a sticker kind, so you will add your adhesive when you are ready to apply (like photo squares, tape runner, etc).

Do you have a scrapbook store or craft store locally? Be sure to check those too. I found some great paper that looked like castle walls and cobblestones, these are great to use. I found some good stickers and embellishments too (but nothing as good as this die-cut!). Have fun.

Die cutting – what and who?
Die cutting system is the procedure that piece off and hence form shapes from different types of the objects. This object includes paper, metal sheets, plastics, wood and also cardboards. die cutting system is absorbed in case of the commercial purposes only. They are found getting used in the production houses, producing Soda cans, keys, paper products, automobiles etc.
There are different types of die cut equipment- blanking die, bending die, forming die, bulging die, shaving die, trimming die, coining die etc.
- Banking die made up of in just a single step producing a flat shape. They are mainly used in case of the paper cutting.
- Bending die is mainly used in order to press a material over a special die to bend the needed material.
- Forming die is the one that used to curve out a blank by bending it along some surface that is curved.
- Bulging die are used in order to bulge the close ends of some tubes or so. This is done with the help of a rubber end or water and oil can also be used for the similar purposes.
- Shaving and trimming dies are mainly use to shape off the material or trim it off if and when required.
- These dies generate blanks having different sides, having a standard coin.
